Events for Students Only

The University hosts special events that give prospective students an opportunity to meet other prospective students while also getting an in-depth look at life as a Longhorn.
Longhorn for a Day: Each Longhorn for a Day brings seniors from a select area in Texas to campus to experience a Saturday at UT Austin. This free, invitation-only program provides admissions, housing, financial aid, and scholarship info along with fun activities for students.
UT Scholars Program: Every April, we invite several hundred high-achieving seniors who've been admitted and earned scholarships to spend two days on campus with us. Students stay for free at a hotel in Austin and enjoy events to expose them to what life is like at UT Austin.
Honors Colloquium: In July, we bring several hundred rising seniors to campus for three days of information on the University, preparing for college and the admissions process, and other fun group activities around Austin. Honors Colloquium is free and by invitation only.
Camp College: Both the Dallas and Houston Admissions Centers host free, three-day programs in June called Camp College for high-achieving younger students (sophomores and juniors) to spend two days learning about college admissions, essay and resume-writing and a third day touring the UT campus. (We'll send you a letter in the spring asking for nominations of exceptional students who might like to participate.)
Special Programs & Summer Camps: The University hosts summer programs of all kinds, from academic, fine arts, leadership, and sports camps for students of all ages to tradition and spirit programs for new UT freshmen.
