The University of Texas at Austin

This page brings you news about the online tools and resources developed by the university and others to simplify life for you and your students.

Admissions Blogs

Want to read about admissions issues from those who know the inside stories? Want to ask questions and make comments about what they have to say? Visit the Admissions Blogs to read posts from UT Austin’s director of admissions, associate and assistant directors, admissions counselors, and other university representatives.

Counselor Finder

Each high school in Texas has a UT Austin admissions counselor assigned to the counselors and students of that school. To help you and your students find your UT counselor, we’ve created an online Counselor Finder. Here’s how it works.

  1. Visit the Admissions Counselors page and type in the name of your high school.
  2. From the list of high schools that appear, select the radio button for your school.
  3. Click the “See Counselor Info” button. The search results will provide you with the contact information for the UT Austin admissions counselor assigned to your school.

Campus Visit Registration

The best way to learn about a university is to visit campus. And the best campus visits are personalized to meet a student’s (and their family’s) needs.

With Be a Longhorn’s campus visit registration, your students can customize their trip to UT Austin to include all the activities and sessions they don’t want to miss.
