What to do After You Apply

Check Your Status

Once you submit your complete application for readmission [link to Former Requirements page], you can check on the status of your application through your Application Status Check page.

You'll need your UT EID and password to log in. (Use the same EID and password that you received when you first applied to UT Austin. If you need help with your UT EID and/or password, visit the UT EID Self-Service Tools.

Your Status Check page will list details about your application, such as whether any items are missing from your application file. You’ll find links to details about completing your application and links to online tools to complete tasks. And when your admission decision is made, you can find out about it online without having to wait for a letter to be mailed.

Begin or Complete Other Processes

If you haven’t done so by the time you complete your admissions application, you should apply for financial aid and housing (if you plan to live on campus).

Although there aren’t any firm application deadlines for housing and financial aid, applying as early as possible may improve your chances for receiving financial aid and receiving a space in the residence hall of your choice. Notifications about financial aid packages and housing contracts are delivered to applicants only after they’ve been admitted to the university.

Send Updated Transcripts

Submit an official transcript if needed to notify us of any courses you complete after the application deadline.

Final official transcripts showing completion of coursework in progress at the time of the application deadline should be submitted as soon as possible but no later than June 15 for fall applicants and January 15 for spring applicants.
