Readmission application Requirements & Deadlines

For your readmission application to be complete, the following items must arrive in the Office of Admissions on or before the deadline.

Application Requirements

Application

Non-refundable application processing fee
  • The application fee is $75.
  • Online payment preferred; pay by credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa) if paid while applying online.
  • If you are unable to pay your fees because of financial need, request a fee exemption.

Official Transcripts
  • Separate, official transcripts from each college you have attended since leaving UT Austin (if any); transcripts must show a grade point average of at least a 2.50 on a 4.00 scale (a 2.0 if you’ve taken only one course) on all transferable coursework taken since leaving UT Austin.
  • Mail or hand deliver transcripts to the main location of the Office of Admissions (Room 7 of the Main Building)
  • Review our online transferable coursework resources for help in identifying courses that you’ve taken or plan to take that are likely to be transferable
  • Failure to report all college coursework or attempts to falsify any part of an admissions application or the documents required to complete the application process may result in disciplinary action (which may include expulsion and loss of credit).

Readmission Deadlines

The application form, application fee, and transcript(s) (if you attended another college or university since leaving UT Austin) must arrive in the Office of Admissions by:

 Fall Deadline: July 1

 Spring Deadline: December 1

 Summer Deadline: May 1

(If a deadline falls on a weekend or a university holiday, the effective deadline is the next business day.)

Fee Exemptions

We sometimes grant fee exemptions to students with high financial need. If you would like to request a fee exemption, mail or fax one of the following to the Office of Admissions:
