Housing contract Expiration Date
Your housing contract includes an expiration date that is usually 3-10 days after the date it is sent to you.
- The Division of Housing and Food Service must receive your accepted/signed contract and your advance payment by the expiration date for your contract to be valid.
- Your expiration date is an arrival deadline, not a postmark deadline. Emailing or faxing your contract is strongly recommended, as is completing the advance payment online via the What I Owe page.
- If your signed contract and your advance payment do not arrive to the Division of Housing and Food Service by the expiration date, your contract will be cancelled.
Cancelled Contracts
If your contract and payment do not arrive by the expiration date, your contract offer will be cancelled and your housing application will be deactivated.
If your contract is cancelled, log in to your MyHousing account to reactivate your application or contact the Division of Housing and Food Service at housing@austin.utexas.edu to reactivate your application or with any questions.
