The University of Texas at Austin

To complete your housing application, you must submit your $50 non-refundable application fee. When applying, you can pay your housing application fee by mailing a check or money order, submitting an online payment using MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or an electronic check. (If you want to pay by electronic check, have a personal check on hand when you apply to enter the required information).

  • When we receive your housing application and your fee, we’ll acknowledge your payment by e-mail.
  • The housing application fee is non-refundable, even if you are not admitted to the university or decide not to enroll.
  • The housing application does not guarantee on-campus housing.

Fee Waivers

Some first-time freshmen applicants qualify for application fee waivers based on financial need. If you were approved for an admissions application fee waiver, then your housing application fee will be automatically waived. You don’t need to do anything to claim your housing application waiver. Simply apply for housing once your admissions application waiver is posted, and your housing application fee will be waived.

If you have questions on fee waiver eligibility, contact the Office of Admissions at 512-475-7387.
