International students who have no post-secondary study and are interested in applying for undergraduate admission must submit the following items by the application deadline.

 December 1 – Summer/Fall Deadline

 October 1 - Spring Deadline

Application Requirements

Application

Non-refundable $90 application processing fee

  • Must be paid before your application will be processed; must accompany application to avoid delay in processing
  • Online payment through the online application is preferred; pay by credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or electronic check (do not send cash or personal checks.)

Alternate payment by check or money order

If you are not able to pay your fee online using a credit card, you may mail your fee payment in the form of a cashier’s check, bank money order or bank draft in U.S. dollars to:

Make checks payable to The University of Texas at Austin. Do not send cash or personal checks.

Write your Application ID number (six digit), UT EID, or UT Assigned Student ID number on your check or money order.

Resume (optional)

  • After you submit your ApplyTexas application, you may upload a resume showing your contributions, talents, honors and abilities in extracurricular, personal and volunteer activities.

Major-specific Requirements

  • To be considered for admission to some majors, applicants must meet additional requirements or submit additional materials. Review the information about program-specific requirements for affected schools & majors when completing your application.

Letters of Recommendation (optional)

    • After you submit your ApplyTexas application, you may upload two recommendations (not required).
    • Recommendations for freshman honors programs must be submitted using the online honors program recommendation system. You must submit both the International freshman application and the Honors Program application before you can use the online honors recommendation system.

Financial Requirements

  • To enroll at UT Austin, admitted international students must meet the financial requirements established by the International Office.

The Office of Admissions keeps application materials, including test scores and transcripts, for one calendar year. If you have applied in the past, you may be required to re-submit certain credentials.

Application Timing

Complete and forward your application to the university as early as possible to allow sufficient time to obtain your visa and arrange for transportation if admission is granted.

After Admission

If you receive an offer of admission, you will be required to mail an official paper secondary/high school transcript showing all your subjects and grades, including your graduation certificate, before you will be permitted to enroll. The official paper transcripts will be compared to the PDF transcript document you uploaded. An official transcript must bear the official original seal and signature of your school/institution registrar. Any alterations or omission of information on the transcripts submitted to The University of Texas at Austin could be grounds for cancellation of your application and/or the withdrawal of the offer of admission.
