Applying for international admissions as a Transfer Student
You should apply for international undergraduate admission as a transfer student if you meet the following criteria:
- You are not a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States.
- You have any previous postsecondary study (in either a U.S. college or university or a postsecondary institution outside the U.S.)
- You are interested in seeking a bachelor’s degree.
Minimum semester hours required
Transfer applicants must submit at least 30 semester hours of transferable credit, including major-specific coursework required for applicants to some majors, before they will be considered for admission.
If you have no previous postsecondary study, you should apply as a first-time college student.
If you have attended the University of Texas at Austin in the past and are interested in returning to your studies, you should apply for readmission as a former UT student.
