Please review the following schedule of activities for UT VIP, taking place Saturday, March 2, 2013. A detailed agenda and campus map will be provided when you arrive at Bass Concert Hall.
» Free: San Jacinto Parking Garage (2401 San Jacinto Blvd.)
A limited number of free parking spaces are available. Arrive early for the best chance at a free spot! This garage is only a few blocks—a 5-10 minute walk—from Bass Concert Hall.
» Paid: Manor Parking Garage (2017 Robert Dedman Drive)
Paid parking is available in this garage for $12. The garage is only a block from Bass Concert Hall.
Bass Concert Hall is located in the Texas Performing Arts Center directly across from Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at the intersection of 23rd Street and Robert Dedman Drive. Enter through the main entrance on 23rd Street. (Google Map)
Arrive at 8 a.m.
Arrive at Bass Concert Hall at 8 a.m. When you arrive, you’ll be given a detailed agenda and map with all of the room numbers and locations of your academic meetings and sessions later in the morning. We’ll have plenty of current Longhorns on hand who will help you get from the opening session to your next session/meeting.
Complimentary coffee and juice will be provided in the lobby of Bass Concert Hall. You may also purchase light breakfast items on the third floor.
- Arrive at Bass Concert Hall, take seats, and meet other admitted students and families
- Enjoy the opening plenary, when we welcome you and your family to campus
Late Morning through Early Afternoon (Times will vary.)
- Meetings and sessions with colleges/schools
Early Afternoon (1-4 p.m.)
- Attend a variety of optional interest sessions, including forums focused on:
- Student Financial Services
- The Division of Housing and Food Service
- The Transition to College (Panel Discussion)
- The Undergraduate Experience (Panel)
- The Creative 40 Acres
Focuses on fine arts experiences for students of any major.
When you arrive at Bass Concert Hall on Saturday morning, you’ll be provided with an agenda for the day. The agenda will include the location(s) of your academic meetings/sessions.

You must attend the session hosted by the college/school to which you were admitted—even if you're considering changing majors.
Take a student-led tour of campus and see popular landmarks, hear a little campus history, and learn where most freshmen live, take classes, and hang out.
Residence Hall Tours
The Division of Housing and Food Service will offer separate tours of residence halls Jester Center-West, San Jacinto, Duren, and Kinsolving (an all-female hall) at 3 and 3:30 p.m. No advance registration is required.
Tours include a guided look at residence hall features and common areas. Tours begin at the front desk of each of the halls.
