Information Sessions
Whether you’re a high school student exploring your college options or a current college student who is interested in transferring to UT Austin, we offer information sessions that will provide you with the details you need to know about applying, the admissions process, on-campus housing, financial aid and more.
Each information session is about an hour long. Click a session link below to register (student UT EID required).

Information Session details
Prospective Freshmen Information Sessions (For current high school students)
Are you a high school student and thinking about applying to UT Austin? During this information session an admissions counselor will give students the inside scoop on UT Austin and answer questions about the university, why students choose UT Austin, admissions requirements, the application process, on-campus housing, honors programs, financial aid, testing, and other important issues for prospective students and their families.

Admitted Freshmen Next Steps Sessions (For students admitted for Summer/Fall 2012)
This session is for high school seniors who've been admitted to UT Austin for the Summer or Fall 2012 semester. During this information session an admissions counselor will discuss the next steps in the enrollment process and answers questions you and your family may have about housing, orientation, placement testing and more. Our financial aid counselor will also review the financial aid application process and answer questions about paying for college and applying for aid. The FAFSA priority deadline is March 15.

Admitted Freshmen Financial Aid Sessions (For students admitted for Summer/Fall 2012)
This session is for high school seniors who've been admitted to UT Austin for the Summer or Fall 2012 semester. During this information session a financial aid counselor will discuss applying for financial aid in detail and answer questions about paying for college, financial aid awards and scholarships. Remember: The FAFSA priority deadline is March 15.

Prospective Transfer Student Sessions (For current college students)
Are you currently enrolled in a college or university and thinking about applying for transfer admission to The University of Texas at Austin? During the transfer information session, an admissions counselor will answer questions regarding admission requirements, the application process, deadlines and other important issues.

Are you a Texas Ex living in the Houston Area?
We need your help sharing your UT Austin experience with prospective and admitted students from the Houston area. There are many ways to get involved with our recruitment efforts, but the first step is to sign up with Exes for Texas—a program in the Office of Admissions that connects Texas Exes with prospective and admitted students. Once we know how to contact you and learn about the ways you’d like to get involved with our recruitment activities, we’ll be happy to call on you during the year.
Location and Hours
The Houston Admissions Center is located at the corner of Richmond Avenue and Edloe Street, midway between downtown Houston and the Galleria area, with convenient access from the 59/Southwest Freeway.
The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with the exception of university holidays).

Parking
Visitors may park in the visitor parking garage on Colquitt Street located directly behind the 8 Greenway Plaza building. Please bring your parking garage ticket with you and ask the Houston Admissions Center staff for a parking validation voucher to receive free garage parking.
