The University of Texas at Austin

The Undergraduate Admissions Center (UAC) should be on any prospective student’s list of places to stop when visiting the UT Austin campus.

  • Admissions counselors conduct daily information sessions for prospective freshman students and their families, sharing details about UT Austin, including why we’re consistently ranked among the top universities and are a top destination for students from around the world. Information sessions are followed by a Q&A session with current UT students and a campus walking tour. Sessions are offered most weekdays.
  • Admissions counselors conduct information sessions for prospective transfer students and their families on most Fridays—providing details about the university, applying for admission, financial aid, and more.

Should I meet with someone?

Admissions staff are available to answer questions about the application and enrollment process, but meeting with someone from Admissions won't impact your admission decision. Interviews are not part of the university's general admissions process.
