The Visitor Center at The University of Texas at Austin is an excellent starting point for many campus visitors. The center provides organized tours, group visits, maps and other services to help make your campus visit more memorable.
Are you a prospective student?
Students and families interested in learning about freshman or transfer admission should begin their visits in the Undergraduate Admissions Center in John Hargis Hall rather than the Visitor Center. Visit the Campus Visits page for details»

The Visitor Center is located on the 2nd Floor of Walter Webb Hall (see photo to the right) on the northwest corner of Guadalupe and 25th Street (see map below).

Upcoming Visitor Center Closings
The Visitor Center will be closed on the following dates:
- Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday, May 26 through Monday, May 28)
- Independence Day (Wednesday, July 4)
- Labor Day Weeked (Saturday, September 1 through Monday, September 3)
Visitor Center Details
Parking
Parking is available in the San Antonio Garage at the corner of 25th and San Antonio. The garage charges an hourly fee; most visitors will pay $12 for 3-16 hours. View all parking garage rates.
Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – noon
Closed: Sundays and university holidays
Tour Schedule
Campus tours depart from the Visitor Center on the 2nd Floor of Walter Webb Hall. Paid parking is available in the San Antonio Parking Garage; for more information, call the Visitor Center at 512-471-1000.
Tour times:
- Monday – Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (No 10 a.m. tour during May)
- Saturday at 10 a.m.
Group Visits (Pre-K – 8th Grade)
The Visitor Center facilitates group visits (including an information session and campus tour) for students in grades Pre-K - 8. Learn more about scheduling a group visit on the Group Visits page.

- Tower Observation Deck Tours (Tower observation tours have been temporarily suspended to allow for necessary repairs to the air handling units in the Tower. Tours are scheduled to begin sometime in the spring of 2011. Please check back for more information at that time.)
