The University of Texas at Austin

What if you could have the best of both worlds?

What if you could attend small classes in a supportive learning environment, yet at the same time gain access to game-changing resources available only at a world-class university whose mission includes both teaching and learning—education and research.

It's possible in a new program The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College (ACC) are offering to 2013-14 freshman applicants who rank in the top 10 percent of their high school class but are not eligible for automatic admission to the university. (You can’t apply to participate; eligible students are offered the opportunity.)

While in the program, Path to Admission through Co-Enrollment (PACE), students will take the majority of their classes at ACC, plus one course per semester at UT Austin, until they complete ACC's core curriculum. Longhorns from day one, they will then be able to continue their undergraduate studies at UT Austin without having to apply for admission.

Meanwhile, they'll also save about $4,000 a year, all while enjoying a seamless student experience in which the rigor of coursework remains uncompromised and—most of all—life-changing.
