The University of Texas at Austin

Occasionally an applicant runs into a question that just doesn’t fit into the information covered in print or online. When that happens to you, you may find yourself looking for an expert – otherwise known as an admissions counselor.

Freshman Admissions Counselors

If you’re applying for freshman admission, you can use our Counselor Finder to locate the freshman admissions counselor assigned to your high school.

Freshman applicants in Texas can also meet with admissions counselors during high school visits or at college fairs and events. Students in the Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio areas can also visit our regional Admissions Centers for assistance.

Transfer Admissions Counselors

If you’re a prospective transfer student and you’d like to get in touch with a transfer admissions counselor, please use the Ask Admissions box at the bottom of this page to submit an e-mail. You can also speak with a transfer admissions counselor by phone by calling 512-475-7387.

Visit the Campus Visits for Transfers page for information about attending an information session or meeting with an admissions counselor.
