Freshman Business Association
The McCombs School’s Freshman Business Association (FBA) wants to help new freshmen find places and faces around campus.
Each year, incoming Business freshmen are recruited to participate in FBA, which offers social opportunities, career workshops and events, reminders about opportunities around campus and a semi-formal party just for McCombs School students.
Student Support
Ford Career Center – Sponsored by some of the biggest corporate names in business, the Ford Career Center assists UT Austin business students with career search skills, brings companies to campus for interviews with students and helps you land your dream job (or internship).
Business Study Abroad – Business students can see the world through a UT Austin-sponsored exchange or study abroad program.
Business Scholarships – Continuing business students (those who have completed their first year in the McCombs School) may apply for a variety of scholarship opportunities to help pay for their business education.
First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs) – FIGs give new freshman students the chance to take several classes with a small group of other new business students, and you have 19 FIGs to choose from.
Business Student Organizations
McCombs students run 44 business-related organizations, from professional groups to major-specific clubs to social- and diversity-oriented societies. Through a partnership with the Frito-Lay Corporation, the School of Business has developed the Frito-Lay Student Leadership Center. Students have access to conference rooms, work space, offices and office equipment – everything they need to make their organizations a success.
