The College of Communication will define communication education in the twenty-first century.
It is the largest and most comprehensive communication college in the country. The College features nationally-recognized researchers in all five of its highly-ranked academic units and includes among its former students 18 Pulitzer Prize winners (three of whom have been awarded the prize twice).

Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation was established in response to the growing political cynicism and disaffection in the United States.

UT Film Institute enhances film education by placing UT Austin students alongside professionals in the creation of independent feature films, fuses technological innovation with creative application, and cultivates filmmaking talent in Texas' growing film community.

Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas was created as a professional training and outreach program for journalists in Latin America and the Caribbean.
